About
Marianne Botros’ creative journey began in Cairo, Egypt — a city where art, culture, and ancient heritage intertwine in timeless harmony. Her early years were shaped between Cairo and Sydney, before her path led her to Saudi Arabia, where the foundations of her distinctive aesthetic first emerged.
Returning to Egypt, she pursued her studies in Art and Design in 2008, refining her vision and deepening her connection to form, material, and expression. In 2016, she relocated to Toronto, where she embarked on the creation of her namesake luxury handbag line.
Marianne’s relationship with art was established from an early age and further developed through her academic journey at the Faculty of Applied Arts, specializing in Decoration. Her exploration of textiles led to the launch of her first fabric collection, followed by travels across Europe in pursuit of contemporary design movements. She later served as a graphic instructor at the German University in Cairo, a role that further enriched her creative discipline and ultimately shaped her transition into the world of luxury handbags.
As a brand, Marianne Botros is defined by a narrative of sculpted strength and refined elegance. Deeply rooted in her Egyptian heritage, the house expresses a modern classicism, elevated through superior craftsmanship and a strong sartorial sensibility. Each design emphasizes architectural silhouettes that balance femininity and masculinity in a bold yet harmonious dialogue.
Marianne collaborates with both Egyptian and Italian artisans, uniting heritage craftsmanship with contemporary design language to create pieces that are both timeless and unconventional.
